Deva Vidya a science of life & beauty is a philosophy that covers every aspect of being: health, food spirit, occupation, defense and relationship. It teach how to live in the harmony with your inner self and with the world around you. It is a combination of Siddha Vaidyam, Kayakalpa, Kalarippayattu and Prana Yoga and Thantra.
The Siddha Science is the oldest traditional treatment system generated from Dravidian culture. The Siddha which flourished in the period of Indus Valley Civilization. Palm Leaf Manuscripts says that Siddha System was first described by Lord Shiva to his wife Parvathy. Parvathy explore all these knowledge to her son Lord Muruga. He taught all these knowledge to his Disciple Sage Agasthya. Agasthya taught 18 Siddhars and they spread these knowledge to human being.
The word Siddha comes from the word Siddhi which means an object to be attained perfection or heavenly bliss. Siddha focused to " Ashtamahasiddhi " that is the eight supernatural power. Those who attained or achieved the above said powers are known as Siddhars. There were 18 important siddhars in olden days and they developed this system of medicine. Hence, it is called Siddha Medicine. The Siddhars wrote their knowledge in palm leaf manuscripts, fragments of which were found in different parts of South India. It is believed that some families may possess more fragments, but keep them solely for their own use. There is a huge collection of Siddha Manuscripts kept by Traditional Siddha Families.
Deva Vidya established in the earlier nineties under the eminent leadership of Sri Prem Nath, the Grandson of Late Sri Narayanan Vaidyar. He hails from a traditionally reputed family of Siddha Physicians. They have huge collection of old secrete manuscripts about Siddha Science.So our aim is to foster Siddha Science by bringing together the useful things behind all these secrete manuscripts.
Prem Nath hails from a traditional Siddha family dating back to pre-british era in India. His family migrated to Kerala from Pandi Kingdom of Tamil Nadu on the request of the king Cheraman Perumal to provide Varmam training to his military as well as to serve as Siddha physicians in the court. They were provided land and facilities in Kerala. The most revered vaidyam of his lineage is the Velitheriyil Kesavan Vaidyan about whom even poets have sung.
He has learned and practicing the secrete therapy method called " Panchaprana suddhi " ( 500 years back this technique was developed by his
ancestors ) which is considered to remove pre-mature senility / deformation due to life style, heredity or accident. Prem Nath is in poccession of a huge collection of palm leaf manuscripts about Kalari and Siddha Vaidyam and is currently translating them into different languages.
